Beat the heat at the July ConnLUG Meeting

Phew! Is is hot in here or is it… no, it’s hot in here!

It was a scorcher for the ConnLUG July 2019 Meeting. On the hottest day of the year, members of ConnLUG came out to enjoy some fun in the sun at the July Cookout – Pool Party. While we crowded indoors next to the A/C, and took advantage of the relief that a pool brings, Chef Brian was braving the heat to bring our members the best burgers, dogs, and veggies around.

We started off with the monthly draft of the Lady Liberty 40367 Brickheadz. Such awesome sand green parts!

We followed the set draft with a set review of The Upside Down 75810 from Stranger Things. Brian took a break from the grill to bring us his usual informative take on this iconic set.

Several members of ConnLUG took the opportunity to participate in MOC and Tell. As usual, the talent from within ConnLUG shines just as brightly as the July sun.

We rounded out the July meeting with a presentation from ConnLUG member Daniel Zimmerman. Daniel brought us up to speed on all of the key information and what to expect for the upcoming BrickFair Virginia LEGO Convention during the last week of July. We greatly appreciate his BrickFair-veteran insights.

As always, our monthly meetings are amazing gatherings of some very talented builders. We value and appreciate the opportunities to showcase our skills, trade knowledge and building techniques, and share in the enjoyment of our LEGO creativity. We invite you to join us for a meeting to see for yourself why ConnLUG is the place to be for AFOLs and TFOLs.

Happy Building!
