October 2019 Monthly Meeting
October 19, 2019 @ 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Join us for our October 2019 Monthly Meeting in Hartford, CT. We have lots of spooky fun planned, including a set draft, a set review, a quarterly build challenge, and our MOC and Tell. Bring your MOCs, bring minifigs or parts to swap, bring your build challenges, and get ready to have some fun. We hope to see you there!
October Draft Set: JB’s Ghost Lab 70418
Need 15-20 pieces of that particular part for your next MOC and Tell? Set drafts are a great way to get those parts. Bring one or two to the next meeting and participate to get the parts that you need from our friendly draft.
October Set Review: Disney Train and Station
The October meeting will include a set review of the 71044 Disney Train and Station by ConnLUG member Brian Bizon. All members are encouraged to bring an official LEGO set that they would like to review if desired.
Quarterly Build Challenge
For the last build challenge of 2019, ConnLUG members are asked to build a MOC in a Halloween or Holiday theme. This can be anything that aligns with the October, November, or December holidays.
- Size restrictions: NONE – go big if you want to!
- Piece count restrictions: NONE – again, go bananas!
- Design: Oct-Dec Holiday theme
- Goal: Tell a story through your MOC. Let the pieces tell the story. Creativity is key.
MOC and Tell
MOC and Tell, it’s like show and tell, only better. Here’s you opportunity to create a new MOC or show off an old favorite to everyone! Bring one or more of your MOCs to put on display for the meeting and get the opportunity to talk about it. Want to watch your own MOC and Tell presentation? Opt in to have your MOC and Tell recorded and posted to our new YouTube Channel!
